Jessica Allan

Jessica grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she first learned to ride from her aunt Gina Allan, a well-known Western Canadian jumping and dressage trainer. She started in riding school at age 9 and worked her way up through working-student positions and catch-riding opportunities. As a junior and young amateur, she found success on British Columbia's "A" and "B" hunter/jumper circuits and competed at classic venues including Thunderbird and Spruce Meadows.

In her early twenties, Jessica joined Desiree Johnson at a hunter/jumper sales barn in the heart of German horse country, where she gained invaluable experience in horse and stable management, sales, and training. She later moved to California to join a leading Northern California show stable, helping develop a number of young horses that went on to successful careers in the hunters and jumpers.

With multiple wins and championships throughout California and Oregon, Jessica has built deep relationships across the industry. She most recently trained under prominent West Coast hunter/jumper coach, young-horse trainer, and breeding expert Sue Lightner.

Above all, Jessica is passionate about horses and the partnerships between horse and rider. She brings that enthusiasm to every lesson, and her teaching reflects a core belief: a strong educational foundation is essential to lasting success in the show ring.
